Description
This test helps to measure the spiritual distress scale of subjects suffering from serious infectious diseases like HIV, Cancer, etc. It has 21 items and Likert type, 5-point Likert type responses, viz. Never, Seldom, Occasionally, Frequently, Always. The scale provides measures of four empirically derived dimensions viz. The feeling of Alienation, Meaninglessness, Hopelessness, and Spiritual Loss. The psychometric characteristics (reliability & validity) are excellent. The age range is from 18 to 55 years and is available in English and Hindi language. The scale can be used for research, counseling, clinical intervention, training, and development.
