Description
The stress coping techniques scale helps to quickly assess the cognitive and behavioural strategies used by an individual in day-to-day life to manage the demands of a situation when these are appraised as taxing or stressful. It has two dimensions- Adaptive (Positive) Stress Coping Techniques and Maladaptive (Negative) Stress Coping Techniques. It can be administered either by self or by the investigator, in the group and individually. It is a Five- point Likert type scale. It has a high degree of reliability and validity. Grade norms have been developed. This scale is available in both English and Hindi.
