Description
The parenting scale measures the extent of parental involvement in the children’s lives and analyzes the parenting styles that parents use for their children. The scale consists of five dimensions, namely (i) Authoritarian Parenting Style, (ii) Democratic Parenting Style, (iii) Permissive Parenting Style, (iv) Authoritative Parenting Style, and (v) Uninvolved Parenting Style. The parenting scale consists of 47 questions related to styles of parenting. It is a four(4) point Likert type rating scale with response options given to the respondents are “Always”, “Sometimes”, “Rarely”, and “Never”. The Parenting Scale can be administered both individually and in a group setting. The age range is 10 and above. It is available in the English language and the time limit is 20 minutes.
