Description
The APA Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (2000) notes that “the essential feature of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a persistent pattern of inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity that is more frequent and severe than is typically observed in individuals at a comparable level of development” (DSM-IV-TR,2000) provides criteria for diagnosing ADHD symptoms of inattention/hyperactivity and Impulsivity have been present for at least 6 months at a point that is disruptive and inappropriate for developmental level.
