The purpose of the ”Sinha Time Management Inventory” (STMI) is to make it available to a multitude of organizations and their personnel, and an effective ”tool” to assess the time management practices construed as ”Effective Management of Time.” The STMI has been developed for personnel of industrial organizations but it can be used for assessment of time management in other types of organizations as well. Its usefulness is greatest for personnel who are engaged in managing their work, people and the organizations – irrespective of the level from which they operate. Being in simple and everyday comprehensible language, it can be used on personnel even without their being very highly conversant with English. Researchers, Surveyors, Managers and all those who are managing organizations would find STMI an effective tool for assessment of personnel and organizational performance and effectiveness – both at the individual and group levels. This, in turn, would lead to insight for greater productivity, growth orientation and organizational development.
