Nonverbal Behavioral Ability Test (NBAT) aims to master the skills of nonverbal communication so as to easily ‘read’ the body language of others and respond to it appropriately or adequately. The major areas included in the test are Personal Appearance, Proxemics, Haptics, Chronemics, Body Language: Facial Expressions, Oculesics and Posture, and Social Emotional Functioning. The total number of items in the test is forty, and it can be administered individually or in small groups. Validity and reliability have been established using a sample of 100 children by careful statistical controls, where validity ranges from 0.58 to 1 while reliability ranges from 0.87 to 0.88 respectively. The age group of 8-11 years. The time limit is set as 30-35 minutes and is available in English.
