Description
The Criminal Propensity Scale assesses the Criminal Propensity in the normal population and identifies the vulnerable group which can then be effectively counselled. In the case of offenders, the ‘C’ scale can foretell the state of mind of the individual to be released from prison and the level of his criminal propensity which may hinder his rehabilitation. The Scale is an attempt has been made to diagnose the responses of non-criminals and criminals on certain specific items of EPQ, which measure Psychoticism, Neuroticism and Extraversion. Scaling techniques to measure personality and attributes could broadly be categorized into 2 types, self reporting and projective techniques and their utilities depend on the purpose of the study and the situation in which they are required. It consists of 39 items and a scoring key. It is available in English.
